Student Use

Current Limestone Students

White boards are available for student use in each study room, as well as 3 portable boards for use throughout the Library. Dry erase markers are available for use behind the Information Desk, please ask a Library staff member for assistance! While white boards are on a first come, first serve basis, all users are expected to comply with the following:

  • All local, state and federal laws, including copyright laws and licensing agreements, all Limestone University policies, and all Limestone University contracts.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit individual use (time limits) to allow others access to library resources.
  • Patrons are asked to be considerate of others and not to display materials which others may consider objectionable, disrespectful, or harmful to others.
  • Patrons are expected to keep the equipment in good condition, use ONLY dry erase markers, and notify staff if they find any damage before use.

Faculty/Staff Use

A white board is provided in each classroom as well as each study room for use during class, in addition, there is 1 portable white board available. Any faculty or staff that wish to use the portable white board for events inside of Hines and Riggins Center should contact a Library staff member to make a reservation for the piece of equipment.

Public Patron and Alum Use

The mission of the Limestone University Library is to serve as the primary intellectual resource of the university by supporting the university's curriculum and providing resource material. Public patrons are allowed to use the Library's white boards as long as their Courtesy Card is in good standing and they present their valid ID for the staff to hold on to while they use the equipment. Dry erase markers are available for use behind the Information Desk, please ask a Library staff member for assistance! While public users are welcome to use the facilities, the college community has priority over public patrons.  All users are expected to comply with the following:

  • All local, state and federal laws, including copyright laws and licensing agreements, all Limestone University policies, and all Limestone University contracts.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit individual use (time limits) to allow others access to library resources.
  • Patrons under 18 (eighteen) years of age must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or teacher.
  • Patrons are asked to be considerate of others and not to display materials which others may consider objectionable, disrespectful, or harmful to others.
  • Patrons are expected to keep the equipment in good condition, use ONLY dry erase markers, and notify staff if they find any damage before use.

Failure to follow the above guidelines may result in denial of access to white boards. During the last 3 weeks of the fall and spring semesters, only Limestone students, faculty and staff will be allowed access to library’s equipment.

If you are experiencing problems with our guides and databases, please contact ProfessorJanet S. Ward, jward@limestone.edu, Assistant Director of the Library and Web Services Librarian.
