There is an enormous amount of information on all topics on the web. You just have to be careful and evaluate the website to be sure it is a reliable source.

Some examples of when the Web is a great place to begin looking for information:

To learn more about companies and government agencies.
To locate facts and statistics
To locate primary and secondary sources
To find current information, such as the latest news reports, weather forecasts, etc.

Educational games are a great tool for building foundation skills that today’s elementary school curriculum requires. These online learning games and songs for kids are fun, teach important skills for preschool and elementary school kids and they’re free.

FunBrain
Funbrain, created for kids ages preschool through grade 8, offers more than 100 fun, interactive games that develop skills in math, reading, and literacy.

(All Ages): This site provides a wealth of free games, puzzles, quizzes, and more. An impressive, rich resource of fun educational games and activities.
National Geographic Games
(Grades 3 and up): This site features a variety of games and interactive acitivities and leans towards various science and history based adventures and activities, rather than the traditional subjects-specific types of games.
