Faculty Information for Web Instruction
Library instruction, requested by faculty, is provided to aid the College community to acquire skills that promote life-long learning. Working with instructors, a session will be developed to provide students the necessary library information to succeed in the class. The library is now utilizing Blackboard Collaborate to conduct instruction webinars for Extended Campus (ECC & ECI) classes.
How do I participate?
You don't need any special equipment, just a computer, Internet access, and the most recent version of Java installed. Prior to the webinar, you will be emailed the website address needed.
To schedule a webinar, the instructor can email the Instruction Librarian with the course ID, time, and date they wish to schedule a webinar.
A tutorial for using Blackboard Collaborate for the first time is available online.
In addition to webinars, instructional classes may be delivered face-to-face, and through tutorials available at the library web site.
Who do I contact if I have questions?
Blackboard Collaborate is an exciting new forum for instruction!
A librarian can meet with your class via Collaborate. Instruction can be delivered to ALL classes regardless of the platform: Day, Extended Campus Classroom, or Extended Campus Internet.
Contact the library to find out how to schedule a Collaborate session for your courses!
