Inter-Library Loan Service

Library Loan Costs.

Although in most cases, there is no charge for Library Loan service, some libraries may charge a fee before they lend out certain items. Limestone University Library will pay the first $15 of any fee charged per semester. If you are requesting more than one item that is charged a fee, please let us know how much you are willing to pay for the additional items. Note that the library will pay up to $25 in postage per semester per student/faculty/staff.

Other Libraries

Current students, faculty, and staff at participating libraries have access to PASCAL Delivers.  Through One Search, books that are not available locally can be easily requested from other member libraries. Patrons must be “in good standing” at their home library (no overdue books or fines) in order to use the service. PASCAL patrons can also go to other libraries to borrow materials in person using the Visiting Patron service.

Public Libraries

Time and distance makes the use of other libraries appealing. Local libraries can provide the remote learner with an atmosphere conducive to studying, reference material (both paper and online), and Internet access. Off-Campus students may obtain library cards to an academic library near them. Check the Gaslight Student Handbook for information on libraries near you. If a community borrowing card is purchased, send in the receipt to the Limestone University Library, Limestone University, 1115 College Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340, for reimbursement (maximum of $25 per year).
