Computer Use Policy

The mission of the AJ Eastwood Library is to serve as the primary intellectual resource of the college by supporting the college's curriculum and providing resource material.  Public patrons are allowed to use the Library's computers as long as their Courtesy Card is in good standing and they present their valid ID for the staff to hold on to while they use the computers. While public users are welcome to use the computers and facilities, the college community has priority over public patrons.  All computer users are expected to comply with the following:

  • All local, state and federal laws, including copyright laws and licensing agreements, all Limestone College policy, and all Limestone College contracts.
  • The Library reserves the right to limit individual use (time limits) to allow others access to library resources.
  • Patrons under 18 (eighteen) years of age that wish to use the computers must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or teacher.
  • Patrons are asked to be considerate of others and not to display materials which others may consider objectionable.
  • Users are responsible for determining the reliability of material accessed from the Internet.
  • Patrons are expected to uphold the security of the computer hardware and software by not: damaging hardware, modifying, downloading, or installing software; or evading security controls.

Failure to follow the above guidelines may result in denial of computer access.  During the the last 3 weeks of the fall and spring semesters, only Limestone students, faculty and staff will be allowed access to library computers.

**Alumni will have use of their student account for up to 6 months after their graduation date.**
